About Us
Trickster Press is an authorship studio and hybrid publisher for people with transformational stories, bright ideas, unconventional knowledge, and personal lived experience they want to turn into books.
Named after the mythological trickster — the boundary-crosser, rule-breaker, culture-changer, and finder of unexpected paths — Trickster Press exists for writers who need a different (and we, think, more playful) way through.
We support authors through every stage of the book writing process, from concept development and outlining to manuscript creation, editing, and publication, while helping preserve what matters most: your voice.
Founder Raven Royce has been in love with books from an early age. Her passion and gift for serving authors and participating in the lineage of book publishing has grown to epic proportions, and henceforth, Trickster Press was born.

Raven Royce
Will Soar With You To Astounding Heights of Imagination, Creativity and Production
With a vision for all things beautiful and meaningful, Raven brings a rare and dynamic blend of big-picture creative thinking and hands-on technical wizardry to everything she touches. A singer and performer, Raven is great at hyping you up to be the star of your own story. She inspires you to bring more of your own razzle-dazzle and special magic to everything you write.
Born in Manila, Philippines and raised in Canada, books have been Raven’s constant companion all over the world. An avid reader (of astonishing speed), she’s equally enraptured by the classics as she is by the latest airport paperback thriller.
Ryan Jacobi
Will Dive With You to Magical Depths of your Capability, Wisdom, and Authority
Focused, gentle, and with razor-sharp intuition, Ryan’s gift is understanding the heart of your story, and inviting forth the fullest, most authentic version of you in your writing. A storytelling expert and filmmaker, Ryan is great at holding space for vulnerable moments and seeing the Art in everything.
Born in Staten Island, New York, Ryan’s favorite childhood books included Frog and Toad, Curious George, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
And, much like Mr. Tumnus, Ryan enjoys the comforts of the woods and the mischievous magic of the creatures within it.
“I can’t imagine a better team. I’m obsessed with them. Raven and Ryan are so present, and they really care. They care about people’s stories, and about sharing them. I learn so much just listening to them talk. The way they work together is so seamless. They love what they do, they live what they do.”
